SubwayIt takes 1 minute on foot to arrive from the Sanin-Honsen "Tottori" Station.

By Car Starting from the Chugoku Expressway's “Sayoh” IC, transfer to National Highway 373 and later to 59. It's approximately 70km to our hotel (one and a half hours) from the initial point of transfer.

By Bus Taking the bus from the Tottori Airport, get off at the Tottori Bus Station. It's an approximately 1 minute's walk from the station to the hotel.

Tottori Sand Dune

As the largest coastal dune in Japan, the Tottori Sand Dune boasts a width of 2.4km north-south, a length of 16km east-west and a height of 92m. It was selected as a nationally protected natural spot in 1955 and is one of one hundred special geological sites (2007). What's most attractive is how the ripple marks on the dune change according to wind patterns, just as a living being changes its expression. The sunset is amazing and the contrast in the colors of the sky and ocean can take your breath away. It takes only 20 minutes to get here by bus or car from Tottori Station. Just as poets Arishima Takeo and Yosano Akiko described in their poems, you too can experience the magnificent views of the Tottori Sand Dune. Please come and visit.

Uradome-seaside

Regarded as the best scenic spot in the Japanese Sea, it has been recognized many times, in lists such as “The Top 100 Best Sceneries of Japan", “The Top 100 White Sands and Green Pines of Japan", "The Top 100 Coasts of Japan", and "The Top 100 Japanese Scenic Spots of the Heisei era”. Because of a similarity between all of the large and small rocks and islands scattered in the sea to those in Matsushima of Miyagi Prefecture, this area is also called “the Matsushima in the shadow of a mountain.” On the west coast, the scenic spots worth visiting include granite cliffs eroded by sea water, uniquely shaped rocks and ocean caves. On the east coast, the wide, shallow and beautiful beaches are extraordinary. They get busy in the summer time. The excursion boat is another worthwhile activity that can give you a memorable sightseeing experience. It's only a 30 minutes' drive by car or bus from Tottori Station.
