Tsutenkaku

It is the scenic spot where you can have experience Japanese folk flavor. It is also the symbol of Osaka, which stands as the entrance of the New World. Inside the 103 meters’ high tower, there are souvenir shops, entertaining houses, theaters, cafes and other place for fun. On the 360°open sightseeing stand, you can enjoy the entire view of the city. Shitennouji

It is said to have been built by Prince Shotoku and it is the first temple dominated by the government in Japan. Inside the massive temple, there are large quantities of national cultural assets preserved there. Constructions with long history like “Dolmen” of the Kamakura Period, “rokujido” which was first built in the Edo Period and rebuilt later and “ganzandaishi hall” are located here. Furthermore, the 500 pieces of national treasure and the “Treasure House” as well as many other important cultural assets preserved here are worth a trip.
