Against a backdrop of Shiunzan (Mt. Shiun), the park covers 230,000 square meters based on the concept of a Daimyo Garden, the park contains 6 ponds, 13 rockeries, and a tea garden- all open to visitors. In the Edo period, it was used as the additional mansion of Sanuki Takamatsu Hanshu Ikomauji and Matsudairauji for 200 years. Aside fromthe famous pine varieties inside such as Hakomatsu, Byobumatsu and Tsurukamematsu, there are plum blossoms and sakura in the spring, Japanese irises in the Summer, maple leaves in the Autumn, and camella in the Winter, creating the effect of colorful flowers blossoming in all seasons.
