Sapporo Snow Festival Sapporo Snow Festival Sapporo Snow Festival

Sapporo Snow Festival

Sapporo Snow Festival is held on behalf of the Snow Memorial in Hokkaido. Beginning in 1950, it has been extended year after year after the local high school students made six snow images at Chase Park. The event attracted not only domestic attraction, but also attracted overseas visitors to participate as well. There are a total of three venues, mainly in Odori Park, and more than 300 sculptures of ice are arranged in all different sizes. Ice sculptures with the theme of realistic shapes are popular and allow the visitors to experience the icy world from the artists making. At nightfall, the lights in the hall also allow visitors to enjoy a colorful display different from the day. Of course, it is a great event for artists, and you can see the ice slides and other happy elements all around. But remember, while you are visiting, do not forget to take your scarves and gloves!
