Besshi copper mine
Besshi copper mine, ranked as one of three huge copper mines in Japan, has produced 700,000 ton copper in the continuous 283 years since 1690. It has made a great contribution to the mordenization of Japan. Although it had completed its copper mine mission in 1973, it has been looked at again in recent years as a precious legacy of modern industry. There are several memorials in the area to teach the history of the copper mines to visitors. When you come to Niihama, be sure to visit here.
