Fuji Safari Park
Fuji Safari Park is a massive park at the foot of Mount Fuji. It is more than 15 times as large as Tokyo Dome stadium. With the majestic Mount Fuji in the background, visitors can observe close up the animals roaming freely in a relaxed and open natural environment Half of the park is the "wildlife area” which is the habitat for tigers, lions, elephants and other animals of about 30 different species. Observing these wild animals in their natural state is an experience that cannot be had at a common zoo, but on Fuji Safari you can. You can choose from several touring options at your leisure such as the use of a Land Cruiser, your own car, or a walking tour. The petting zoo is a good place for bringing children. In the petting zoo, visitors can play with a variety of small animals in the Petting Pasture, the Animal Village, and the Cat Annex as well as the Bug Safari!
