The Anjo Tanabata Festival
When talking about the things that make up Anjo's summer season, you must mention the Tanabata festival. The Anjo Tanabata Festival is one of the three Tanabata Festivals of Japan, which attract over 1 million tourists each year. During the festival, all the shops take part in the celebration: huge 2m -round colorful balloons and intricately decorated lanterns on bamboo poles are hung all over the streets. There is also a “Miss Tanabata” parade, decoration competition, photography presentation, folk dance pilgrimage and other kinds of activities, all which attract endless streams of tourists. The festival starts near the JR Anjo station, which is in front of our hotel. It is held on the first Friday, Saturday and Sunday of August each year. Please do participate in the carnival if you happen to stay with us during this time. You will not regret it.

There are a 19-meter-high Danish windmill and other large wooden attractions inside the park, including various places for playing and nature watching. Surrounded by nature, you will feel completely relaxed. After you have finished playing in the theme park, you can have a meal at the park's restaurants.
